I am creating a skarner cosplay from league of legends, for those who don't know who skarner is, he's pretty much a scorpion made of crystals. His body is rough but shiny and almost see through; like a crystal. And that's where I need help. I want to capture that crystal texture and look. So what I'm asking is for opinions on how to create that. I'm making armor for it, and I thought I would go with insulation foam for the texture but that still leaves the look, it needs to be shiny and clear ish like a crystal. Help please. I'll start off with the update, which is simply that the number of submissions has been reduced to 3 per week. This is just because this group receives a lot of submissions, probably 200 a week, and it gets hard to manage. I know it's annoying, sorry about that! But hopefully this will mean that submissions are in lesser numbers, which will make it easier for me to manager. It also means that your submissions won't expire before I get to them!

I've used this before, you could do it on a much larger scale. Its a Clear set resin and silicone mold. You can get most of the materials at craft stores.
